We love celebrating with our guests, whether it’s a wedding reception, a birthday party or a company celebration, our goal is to make your event special. For the past 9 years we have hosted parties inside our space at Hunt + Alpine. Open, airy and conveniently located in the heart of Portland’s Old Port it has been loved as an event space from Day One.

 

This year we have also added an Airstream travel trailer to our team so we can now offer offsite catering anywhere in Maine and across New England. With Hunt + Alpine’s Airstream, which we have lovingly named Barnacle, we can provide food and cocktails for events up to 200 people. As long as you have flat ground for us to park, we will be there!

 

Whether you would like to celebrate at our space in the Old Port or are planning your celebration elsewhere, we would love to bring our beloved cocktails and delicious food to you. 

 

Portland Hunt + Alpine Club is a Scandinavian-influenced cocktail bar and restaurant. Since opening in 2013, we have been a multi-James Beard Foundation semi-finalist for “Outstanding Bar Program” and have been named one of the Best Cocktail Bars in America by Bon Appétit (2014), Eater (2015 & 2017), Thrillist (2020), Imbibe (2014 & 2017), Maxim (2019) and more. Owner, Andrew Volk, was named one of Food & Wine’s “Best Mixologists” in 2016. Both he and partner Briana were named to Wine Enthusiast’s “40 Under 40 Tastemakers of 2020”. 

 

What We Offer

  • Personalized cocktail service for you event, wherever it may be

  • We can create speciality cocktails for you or you can choose from a vast list of Hunt + Alpine originals and modern classics.

  • Our wine selection is always excellent and broadly focuses on women, BIPOC and LGBTQA+ winemakers who are committed to sustainable practices.

  • Light appetizers to full meals both onsite and off. Our chef is a master at cooking over a fire and loves the bounty of seafood that Maine offers.

  • End of party snacks! Who doesn’t love getting a little surprise as they are heading home and off to sleep. We can create send off snacks that include homemade granola for the next morning, non-alcoholic drinks to help clear heads and treats to eat as everyone heads off into the night. 

 

Andrew, Briana, and everyone at Hunt + Alpine are experts at event and offsite hospitality. Briana has organized and hosted events for bands like the Beastie Boys and The Roots. Hunt + Alpine has hosted on-site events for 100 people and full-service offsite events for over 300. 

 

The Basics

(With all prices there are minimums that must be met and taxes/gratuity is not included.)

  • Hunt + Alpine Room Fee: Varies upon season and day of the week

  • Barnacle Travel & Set Up Fee: $750 - $1500 (depending on location)

  • Cocktail & Drink Service: starting at $40 per person

  • Drink and Food: starting at $55 per person

Smorgasbord (starting at $20pp): full of cheese, nuts, pickles, breads, crackers, and tinned fish and cured meats add ons

Vacationland (starting at $35pp): fresh and tinned fish, shellfish, lobster with accoutrements and caviar add ons

Hunt Snack Pack (starting at $12pp): house-made pretzel, green chili popcorn, pickles, mustard

Good Night (starting at $10pp): a variety of baked goods to enjoy on your way home or the next morning

A la Carte (starting at $20pp): lobster rolls, sausage platters, Swedish meatballs

Cakes and Desserts: wedding cakes, cinnamon rolls, tarts and cookies
